  1.                       VHSB VIEWER, RELEASE 1.0

  3.   VHSB Viewer is used to view 3D Spaces built with Virtual Home Space Builder 
  4. and saved in (MUS) format.  VHSB Viewer does not allow you to modify the 
  5. 3D Space, as you can with Virtual Home Space Builder.  You can move around, 
  6. look around, interact with pictures, link to URLs and view prearranged 
  7. walking shows.

  9. What You See
  10. ============
  11.     There are three windows and toolboxes in VHSB Viewer:  
  12.       - The 3D Space window is where you see the 3D Spaces.  
  13.       - The Walker toolbox has buttons for navigation and 
  14.         adjusting camera view.  
  15.       - The Plane Walker window, displays the floor plan of 
  16.         the 3D Space with the "Pinnochio" icon (for navigation), 
  17.         and also includes the Camera icon.  
  18.         
  19. The 3D Space Window Menu is in the top left corner of the 3D Space Window.  
  20. The Help key is in the top right corner of the 3D Space Window.

  22. How to move around
  23. ==================
  24.      You can freely move and jump through 3D Spaces using the keyboard, 
  25. the Walker toolbox, or the Plane Walker window.  You also can jump through 
  26. a 3D Space using the View Object tool.   Using the keyboard or 
  27. Walker toolbox, press the arrows in the direction you want to move.    
  28. If the Plane Walker window is enabled, you can move around by dragging 
  29. the tip of the Pinocchio icon.  You also can double-click on any spot 
  30. in the Plane Walker Window to jump there.  You can jump about a 
  31. 3D Space by first clicking on a picture with your cursor, then pressing 
  32. the View Object tool.  You will appear directly in front of the selected 
  33. picture.

  35. How to look around
  36. ==================
  37.      You can look around by manipulating the camera's height, tilt, 
  38. and zoom qualities.  You can adjust these features using the camera 
  39. buttons in the Walker toolbox, the keyboard, or the Camera icon in the 
  40. Plane Builder window.

  42. Keyboard controls

  45.       The program uses the following keys:

  47. 7, Home         - Rotates left;
  48. 9, Page Up        - Rotates right;
  49. 8, Up Arrow        - Moves camera forward;
  50. 5, 2, Down Arrow    - Moves camera back; 
  51. 4, Left Arrow        - Moves camera left;
  52. 6, Right Arrow    - Moves camera right;
  53. + (Keypad Plus)    - Moves camera up;
  54. -  (Keypad Minus)    - Moves camera down;
  55. Insert            - Tilts the camera up;
  56. Delete            - Tilts the camera down;
  57.  
  58. Pressing Ctrl with any other key doubles the speed of the motion 
  59. produced with the key.

  62. How to look at pictures
  63. =======================
  64.      Pictures can have text, sound, URLs (Web Links), and functions 
  65. associated with them.  When you move the cursor over a picture, 
  66. indicators in the bottom-left corner of the 3D Space Window show 
  67. the picture's characteristics.
  68.  
  69.      If a Function is associated with a picture, the cursor becomes 
  70. a hand.  Double-click on the picture to activate the function.   If the 
  71. picture contains text, the first line appears at the bottom of the 
  72. 3D Space window.  Click on the picture with your right mouse-button 
  73. to read the full text.  If the picture contains sound, the Attached Sound 
  74. indicator in the bottom-left corner of the 3D Space Window is illuminated. 
  75. To hear the sound, click on the picture, then click on the Play Attached 
  76. Sound tool in the 3D Space Window.  If the picture is part of an album, 
  77. the Album indicator in the bottom-left corner of the 3D Space Window is 
  78. illuminated. To leaf through the album, click on the picture, then click 
  79. on the List Album tool in the 3D Space Window.  To see a picture in full 
  80. resolution, click on the picture, then click on the True Image tool in the 
  81. 3D Space Window.

  83. Walking Show
  84. ============
  85.      Some prebuilt 3D Spaces have a Walking Show.  A Walking Show takes 
  86. you through the 3D Space by a predefined route.  To start a Walking Show, 
  87. select Walking Show in the 3D Space Window Menu.  To stop the Walking Show, 
  88. press any arrow key.
